The Rev. Craig Kocher  joined the University of Richmond as University Chaplain and Jessie Ball duPont Chair of the Chaplaincy in August 2009.  Prior to arriving at UR, Kocher served six years at Duke University, first as Assistant Dean, then Acting Dean, and subsequently Associate Dean of the Chapel and Director of Religious Life.   From 2001-2003 he was Associate Pastor at Davidson United Methodist Church and Campus Minister to Davidson College.  Rev. Kocher has received many awards for his work on campus and in the pulpit including the Jameson Jones Preaching award given by Duke Divinity School, the John Wesley Preaching award from the Finch-Hunt Institute for Homiletics, and the ODK award for service to Davidson College.  His sermons and articles have been published in a variety of journals and other periodicals.  Rev. Kocher holds a Bachelor of Arts in American History from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School.  He is a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary.  He loves to participate in about any sport, especially basketball, racquetball, and fly-fishing.  He is married to the Rev. Abby Kocher; both are elders in the United Methodist Church.  On free weekends you might find them cheering on the spiders, swimming at the beach, or hiking the Blue Ridge with their Golden Retriever, Maggie.  They are thrilled to be a part of the University of Richmond family.

Josh was born and raised in Sparta, New Jersey.  In 1996, Josh studied at Syracuse University and graduated in 2000 with a dual bachelor of arts in International Relations and Russian Language, Literature and History.  After graduation, he worked for Syracuse University's Office of Supportive Services for four years as the Administrative Office Manger.  In 2004, Josh and his wife moved to Richmond, VA.  He worked for one year at VCU under the position of Office Manager, before accepting a position in January 2006 at the University of Richmond's Chaplaincy Office.  Overall, he has worked in higher education for nine years.  Among his major responsibilities in the office are event/program planning, financial and budget responsibilities, and creating networks with other offices and diverse groups on campus.

Camisha L. Jones is the Arts and Education Director in the Office of the Chaplaincy.  She is a graduate of the University of Richmond (Class of 1994).  After graduating from the University, she spent two years as an AmeriCorps member through Virginia Campus Outreach Opportunity League (Virginia COOL).  In this position she was placed at Virginia Commonwealth University where she coordinated volunteer programs at 5 sites and cultivated the creation of a student-led service organization. After completing two AmeriCorps terms, she became the Associate Director of Virginia COOL.  Virginia COOL is a statewide non-profit that provides resources (a conference, newsletter, trainings, grants) to college students, faculty and administrators to encourage campus-based service ventures.  After a brief time as Interim Executive Director of Virginia COOL and as a Student Services Specialist at Virginia Commonwealth University, she became a Program Director at the North Richmond Family YMCA.  At the YMCA she worked closely with youth by coordinating a middle school mentoring program, leading an adulthood curriculum and working with an afterschool program for girls.  She came to the University or Richmond in 2001 when her primary responsibility was as a training coordinator for the Bonner Scholars Program.  She is currently the Arts and Education Director in the Office of the Chaplaincy.  During her time at the University she has founded the Allies Institute and the One Book, One Campus: Dialogues in Social Justice Initiative.  She continues to direct these programs.
