University of Richmond Hillel is a pluralistic organization for Jewish students to explore their identity among the backdrop of an elite liberal arts campus. We are committed to a multifaceted approach to Judaism. Such an approach allows us to focus on our deep ties with Israel, Social Action initiatives within the Richmond community, the building of a strong cultural network through Ritual, and engaging in the traditions of the Torah. We at Hillel are here to establish a Jewish community for students to enhance their identities and foster strong relationships among ourselves and the rest of the University of Richmond.
University of Richmond Hillel is proud to be a Small and Mighty Campus. As a member of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, we are proud to have strong student involvement in the planning and implementation of our Jewish programming on campus. We are also excited to have a Hillel representative sit on the Multifaith Student Council and the Diversity Roundtable.
Hillel's purpose is to nurture the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Hillel student leaders and professionals are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially.
