During the academic year, two services are held on campus on a weekly basis in Cannon Memorial Chapel. Catholic Campus Ministry celebrates Mass from 5-6 p.m. every Sunday, and the Office of the Chaplaincy leads the Kairos service from 8-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.
The Chaplaincy also works in partnership with 12 Christian campus ministries, and seven of them represent denominations within the ecumenical Christian tradition. Each of these ministries is facilitated by a campus minister who serves in a local congregation. Below is the list of denominationally-based campus ministries and the churches with which these ministries are affiliated. Christian students are encouraged to engage with these local congregations for worship opportunities in the Richmond area.
Baptist Collegiate Ministry - Second Baptist Church
Episcopal Campus Ministry - St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
Lutheran Campus Ministry - Epiphany Lutheran Church
Orthodox Christian Fellowship - Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral
Presbyterian Fellowship - First Presbyterian Church
United Methodist Campus Ministry - Reveille United Methodist Church
Five campus ministries are local chapters of national Christian organizations. Information about the UR chapters of these organizations and their meeting schedules may be found on the campus ministries page.
