Memorial Services

When memorial services and funerals for members of the University of Richmond community are held in Cannon Memorial Chapel, they are planned through the University of Richmond Events Office and the Office of the Chaplaincy.

If you are considering holding a memorial service in Cannon Memorial Chapel, please review the information on the Events Office's Memorial Services webpage to learn about eligibility prior to calling the Events, Conferences, and Support Services Office at 804-289-8585. There is no rental fee to use the Chapel for a funeral or memorial service.

If you have a minister you would like to use for the service, you are welcome to invite that person. The Events Office or the Office of the Chaplaincy can provide guidance to your family's minister, if needed.
