Jewish Chaplain and Director of Religious Life

Josh Jeffreys joined the Chaplaincy staff as Jewish Chaplain and Director of Religious Life in May 2018, after serving since August 2016 as the Interim Jewish Life Advisor. He received his undergraduate degree in Jewish Studies from Rutgers University, and is completing a Master in Business Administration in the Robins School of Business. Josh began working in the University's Advancement Office in November 2015, where he served as Assistant Director of Alumni Events beginning in February 2017. Prior to joining the University, Josh worked at a variety of Jewish communal organizations, most recently the Weinstein Jewish Community Center where was the Director of Hillel at Virginia Commonwealth University.

What is your favorite part of working at UR?

The tight-knit community and beautiful campus.

What book or books are you reading right now? 

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

Life is Beautiful

Favorite restaurant off-campus:

I really enjoy "date nights" at Chianti with my incredible wife.
